College of Applied Biology-British Columbia - Professional Biologists in BC are governed by the CAB. The CAB Act is the first legislation of its kind in North America, and is the first time applied biologists have been granted full professional status through self governing legislation. Steve is a registered professional biologist in BC.

Ecological Society of America - ESA promotes ecological science; raises the public's level of awareness of ecological science; increases the resources available for the conduct of ecological science; and ensures the appropriate use of ecological science in environmental decision making. Steve is a member and recognized by the society as a certified ecologist.

Invasive Plant Council of British Columbia - IPCBC recently came into being during the development of an Invasive Plant Strategy that outlines an action plan to address the exponential increase in invasive plant populations throughout the province.  Member

Science Advisory Board for Contaminated Sites in British Columbia - The SAB is a small non-profit organization that contributes science-based tools for managing contaminated sites in British Columbia.  Member

World Resources Institute - WRI works with business partners, governments and civil society to confront today's most urgent environmental challenges. WRI has over 50 active projects working on aspects of global climate change, sustainable markets, ecosystem protection, and environmentally responsible governance. Steve is recognized by WRI as an ecosystem expert and appears in WRI's Ecosystem Services Experts Directory.
