Fairwinds Community & Resort EA, Nanoose Bay
Led an environmental assessment team in a survey of the Nanoose Peninsula and a proposed residential development projects to assess potential impacts on regional and local scales. Assessment activities included aerial photo-interpretation and ground-truth surveys, as well as on-site vegetation and wildlife surveys. The final report described the regional and project area findings, and presented recommendations and mitigation measures to prevent and minimize ecological impacts on unique and sensitive biota such as Garry oak–dominated communities.
Minnesota Chippewa Tribe EAs
Completed NEPA documentation as part of an effort by the tribe to conduct integrated wildland fire management planning at six reservations in Northern Minnesota. Coordinated community surveys and meetings with tribal councils, and prepared integrated wildland fire management plans to help guide the protection and enhancement of forest resources and tribal cultural sites.
